Densifying concreteLithurin DENS
Densifies the surface layer and evens out the concrete surface.
A densifying impregnating agent that makes the surface layer of concrete denser and more uniform. It is used on porous surfaces and self-levelling compounds, in sequences for wet areas, and as an intermediate step before sealing or polishing.
What it does
- Densifies the concrete surface layer
- Reduces the absorbency of the surface layer
- Evens out the surface before the next steps
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor surfaces
When we use it
- Porous surfaces and levelling compounds
- Wet areas: HARD → DENS
- Intermediate step before sealing or polishing
The manufacturer's technical data sheet states that DENS has been emission tested.
Used in these sequences
Wet areas and regular wet cleaning
For wet environments, SEAL 3.0 is the right sealer. SEAL is intended for dry indoor areas only. The choice between DENS and SEAL 3.0 depends on the condition of the concrete and how the floor is cleaned.
- Step 1 HARD Hardening
- Step 2 DENS Densifying
Dustproofing self-levelling compounds
DENS densifies the porous surface of the levelling compound and reduces dusting. PROTEC is an add-on where stain protection matters.
- Step 1 DENS Densifying
- if needed PROTEC for stain protection

Frequently asked questions
When should I choose DENS rather than HARD?
Choose DENS when the aim is a denser, more uniform surface layer, for example on levelling compounds and porous surfaces. On power-floated floors the first step is usually HARD, with DENS following where needed.
Is DENS used before polishing?
Yes. The manufacturer also lists DENS as a densifier before diamond polishing, where the project calls for a separate densifying step.

On a site visit we check the condition of the concrete, the traffic, how the floor is cleaned and what it is exposed to. Then we propose the surface preparation, the product sequence and a schedule that fits around your operations.
